However, Alcaraz never looked in any trouble and upped his level in time to win the match. The Spaniard’s defense-to-offense transition has been as seamless as ever this week, which has made it extremely difficult for opponents to win points against him.

Jannik Sinner started slowly and even lost a set to Tomas Machac in the third round. However, since then, he has hit top gear and played a flawless match against Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. Alcaraz can trouble Sinner like no other player on the tour because of his variety and unpredictability. Sinner has also added some variety to his game, which has been on full display this week.
