Morocco’s nationwide “N7taflou Kamlin” (Let’s all celebrate) caravan rolled into Benguerir, central Morocco, on Saturday, giving residents a festive preview of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and drawing crowds eager to join the buildup to the continental football tournament. The stop is a new phase in a tour intended to build excitement for the tournament Morocco is hosting this year.

The local AFCON 2025 organizing committee staged football matches, interactive games, music performances, and children’s activities that attracted young people, families, and enthusiastic supporters. Organizers also held a raffle for tickets to upcoming AFCON fixtures.

Caravan supervisor Nouaman Ennajem told Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) that the turnout in Benguerir reflected strong nationwide enthusiasm for the event. He said the initiative is designed to inspire young people through sports and strengthen national pride by bringing the AFCON spirit to communities across the country before the tournament begins.

The caravan kicked off in Tahannaout in Al Haouz province and has already made a stop in Boufekrane in El Hajeb. It will travel through more than 60 municipalities, with upcoming stops in Chichaoua, Sebt Gzoula, and Had Hrara in the Marrakech-Safi region.

From there, it will continue on to cities across regions including Beni Mellal-Khenifra, Souss-Massa, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, MAP said.

Organizers will wrap up the tour on December 12 in M’hamid El Ghizlane in the Zagora province.

The tournament kicks off on December 21. Since winning the hosting bid, Morocco has stepped up efforts to upgrade, and in some cases completely rebuild, its stadiums, including Rabat’s Moulay Abdellah Stadium.

The cities that will host the tournament are Agadir, Casablanca, Fes, Marrakech, Rabat, and Tangier.
