CAA Men's And Women's Tennis Weekly Awards - April 14

RICHMOND, Va. (April 14, 2026) – Campbell senior Thomas Drapeau received CAA men’s tennis Player of the Week honors, while Charleston sophomore Sia Cariov was chosen as the CAA women’s tennis Player of the Week. The William & Mary duo of Oliver Hague and Gur Trakhtenberg were selected as the men’s Doubles Team of the Week and Elon’s Simone Bergeron and Mariana Reding earned women’s Doubles Team of the Week accolades.

CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

Thomas Drapeau, Sr., Campbell (Quebec City, Quebec)

Drapeau went 2-0 at No. 1 singles to help Campbell record important conference victories over Charleston (4-3) and North Carolina A&T (5-2) last week. With the match against Charleston tied at 3-3, the senior edged Jakub Solarski, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (5) to give the Camels the win. He followed by beating A&T’s Jindrich Brill, 6-3, 6-4 for his team-best 11th singles victory. Drapeau and partner Aleksandar Hudjec also clinched the doubles point against the Aggies with a 6-4 triumph at No. 2.

CAA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Sia Cariov, So., Charleston (Delray Beach, Fla.)

Cariov earned a pair of victories at No. 1 singles to help lead Charleston past South Carolina State (6-1) and CAA foe UNCW (5-2) last week. The sophomore rolled over South Carolina State’s Katerina Marsalkova, 6-0, 6-4, before picking up an impressive 6-1, 6-3 win against UNCW’s Eda Arli to help the Cougars claim a key league victory.

CAA Men’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Oliver Hague, Jr., William & Mary (Manchester, England)

Gur Trakhtenberg, So., William & Mary (Raanana, Israel)

Hague and Trakhtenberg posted a 2-0 mark at No. 1 doubles as William & Mary picked up non-conference wins over Delaware (4-1) and James Madison (4-2). The Tribe tandem rolled past UD’s Federico Garbero and Euan Mackenzie, 6-2, to help secure the doubles point, and then clinched the doubles point vs. JMU by beating Esteve Agusti and Aurelien Schmitt, 6-4. Hague and Trakhtenberg were also a combined 3-1 in singles last week at the top two spots.

CAA Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Simone Bergeron, Jr., Elon (Vienna, Va.)

Mariana Reding, Jr., Elon (Leon, Mexico)

Bergeron and Reding went 2-0 at No. 1 doubles as Elon closed the regular season by blanking UNCG (5-0) and Coastal Carolina (4-0). The Phoenix duo battled past UNCG’s Sydney Bly and Lauren Thompson, 6-4, to help earn the doubles point, and followed by dominating Coastal’s Aida Mitrache and Brooke Rogers, 6-1, as Elon claimed the doubles point. Bergeron, who also posted a 2-0 mark at No. 2 singles, and Reding have 11 wins this season.
