Alex Eala trains at Rafa Nadal Academy ahead of Italian Open

Alexandra "Alex" Eala is back at the Rafa Nadal Academy ahead of her scheduled participation in the Italian Open.

Eala has resumed training at the academy, according to its Instagram story on Thursday.

The Filipina ace recently withdrew from the WTA 125 Catalonia Open following her stint at the Madrid Open, where she exited in the Round of 64 in singles and the Round of 16 in doubles.

She now shifts her focus to the Italian Open, which is set to begin next week.

The Italian Open is a WTA 1000 event and will mark Eala’s latest clay-court campaign, following appearances at the Linz Open, Stuttgart Open, and the Madrid Open.
