Neeraj Chopra tips Jasprit Bumrah to excel in javelin throw

Jasprit Bumrah, currently the No. 1 ranked Test bowler in the world, has been a cornerstone of India’s pace attack in recent years.

Known for his pinpoint accuracy and unique action, Bumrah has delivered match-winning performances across formats.

He was also a key member of India’s T20 World Cup-winning team in 2024 and was named Player of the Tournament after taking 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 and an economy rate of just 4.17.

With cricket set to return to the Olympics, Bumrah has previously expressed his intention to manage his workload carefully and stay fit for a potential appearance at the LA 2028 Games.

Meanwhile, Neeraj Chopra, who reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking in javelin throw on Friday, continues to dominate the sport.

The Indian star has clinched victories at the Ostrava Golden Spike and Paris Diamond League events, and earlier this season, broke the 90m barrier for the first time at the Doha Diamond League with a national record throw of 90.23m.

Neeraj Chopra will next be seen in action at the NC Classic 2025 in Bengaluru on July 5.
