The Murray State Racers will look to snap a four-match skid this Saturday, March 7, as they travel to Alabama to face Jacksonville State at 11:00 AM.

Despite their recent struggles, the Racers proved they are still dangerous following a narrow 4–3 loss to Samford. They will lean heavily on sophomore standout Yu Kikawa, who has been the team's most consistent performer this spring with a combined 7–2 record across singles and doubles play.

The Gamecocks enter the contest with significant momentum, boasting a 7–4 record and victories in four of their last five matches. Jacksonville State's success has been anchored by its veteran leadership; senior Irene Artigas has been nearly flawless in singles with a 7–1 record, while fellow senior Polina Ramenskaja leads the charge in doubles with seven wins on the season.

While Murray State holds a commanding 15–5 lead in the all-time series dating back to 1985, recent history suggests a wide-open battle. The Racers have won the last three meetings, but the 2024 and 2025 matchups were both decided by razor-thin 4–3 margins. With the Gamecocks playing some of their best tennis of the year and the Racers desperate to get back in the win column, fans should expect another down-to-the-wire finish at the Jax State Tennis Courts.
