Man Utd star Andre Onana's wife 'has 62k bag and Rolex stolen' in horrifying ordeal

Andre Onana's wife suffered a terrifying ordeal after being robbed of her handbag and Rolex watch in the carpark of an Italian restaurant, it has been claimed.

Melanie Kamayou was stripped of her £62,000 Hermes Birkin bag and expensive watch in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on March 29 according to a new report from The Daily Mail.

Liam Ross, a 25-year-old from the Wibsey area of Bradford, appeared before Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, where he was charged with robbery. He was also charged with the supply of cannabis and is due in Chester Crown Court in May.

Ms Kamayou describes herself as a pharmacist, businesswoman and philanthropist. She married Onana two years ago and shares a child with the Cameroon international goalkeeper. She moved to the UK when he signed for United in a £47million deal from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023.

She has nearly 72,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly posts photos of herself sporting expensive handbags and clothes. Hermes Birkin - the type stolen in the robbery - is a particularly rare item of huge value.

Alderley Edge is an expensive, leafy area of Cheshire that is renowned for being home to many footballers from Manchester United, Manchester City and beyond.

Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney all used to live in the area, while Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk have also called the sought-after village home.

Onana has made 92 appearances for United since joining from Inter. He has been the first-choice goalkeeper under Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim, but has gone through some difficult spells over the past few years.

The 28-year-old keeper was among the players publicly called out by United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe as those he "inherited" from the previous regime. However, while Ratcliffe would be open to selling him this summer, Onana is understood to want to stay at Old Trafford.

United currently sit 13th in the Premier League table, having won just 10 of their 30 matches. They face Manchester City in the derby on Sunday afternoon and are desperate for points with eight games left in the league.
