Having batted mostly at No.4 this season, Rahul’s elevation to opener is seen as a key strategic shift by the Axar Patel-led side, who are pushing for a playoff spot.Rahul needed just 33 runs before the game to surpass Kohli’s record and wasted no time stamping his authority in the powerplay.Currently fifth on the IPL table with 13 points from 11 matches, Delhi’s hopes hinge on experienced performers like Rahul — who, on Sunday, delivered both history and hope.
