Fabrizio Romano Shares Update on Third Man Utd Bid for Bryan Mbeumo

Manchester United remain in talks with Brentford to sign forward Bryan Mbeumo, and the Red Devils remain optimistic about getting a deal over the line, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed, writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter.

United are pushing to bring in attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window, and GIVEMESPORT sources have confirmed they made an opening offer totalling around £55m to try and bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford. A second offer followed in the region of £62.5m, but they are yet to reach an agreement with the Bees over a fee.

Ruben Amorim's side have already secured the signature of Matheus Cunha from Wolves, but it appears that they want further additions in the final third this summer. After such a disappointing 2024/2025 season, United will need to add to their squad in order to head in the right direction.

Man Utd Optimistic Over Bryan Mbeumo Deal

They remain in talks with Brentford

Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Romano has confirmed that United remain in talks with Brentford, and he expects discussions to continue for the Cameroonian forward. The respected reporter adds that United are optimistic that they can get a deal over the line for Mbeumo...

"Man United remain in talks with Brentford. Man United remain optimistic, so I expect discussions to continue."

Brentford director of football Phil Giles recently claimed that Mbeumo would be happy to stay at the club if they are unable to agree a fee with United. Whether it's a ploy to try and get the Red Devils to increase their offer remains to be seen, but the Manchester club appear keen to get this deal done eventually.

The additions of Cunha and Mbeumo would certainly be a good start for United as they look to climb back into the top half of the Premier League.
