Carlos Alcaraz can ascend to the top of a historic tennis all-time leaderboard at the Australian Open.

If he wins Down Under, he'll stand alone. Ahead of all the legends, ahead of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and all the greats that have come before them.

Alcaraz has won the other three majors as part of six total major titles.

He's never won in Australia.

An Australian Open title would complete the career grand slam for Alcaraz at 22 years and 8 months old.

He'd be the youngest ever to complete the career grand slam, according to Tennis.com.

The previous youngest is Don Budge, who did it at 22 years and 11 months.

That means this will be Alcaraz's final chance to accomplish the feat faster than anyone else.

The expectation among fans will be that Alcaraz reaches the final, where the bracket would suggest that Jannik Sinner would await.

The duo has had a bunch of epic matches in their career, and this would certainly be no different.

With history potentially on the other side for Alcaraz, it could be an even more remarkable clash of two rising legends of the game of tennis.
