Who will reach the 2025 Madrid Open final?

The semi-finals of the women's singles at the Spanish WTA 1000 tennis tournament take place on Thursday (1 May) at the Caja Mágica, as the top women’s players look to build momentum on the clay swing ahead of the French Open in a few weeks’ time.

First up at the Estadio Manolo Santana will be world number four Coco Gauff against world no. 2 Iga Swiatek, the defending champion in the Spanish capital.

Gauff is making her first semi appearance of the year, while Poland’s Swiatek is targeting a third final in a row in Madrid and aiming to become the first back-to-back women’s singles champion here since Simona Halep in 2017.

The other semi-final takes place between world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Olympic bronze medallist Elina Svitolina, who convincingly defeated unseeded Uchijima Moyuka 6-2, 6-1.
