A planned moment of silence to honour former Liverpool forward Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva was interrupted at Sunday's Community Shield match at Wembley.During the tribute before the Liverpool versus Crystal Palace game, some fans failed to maintain silence, leading to boos from other spectators.Referee Chris Kavanagh ended the commemoration early.The match marked Liverpool's first major appearance since Jota's passing at age 28.The tragic incident occurred in July when the brothers lost their lives after their Lamborghini crashed and caught fire near Zamora in northwestern Spain.Liverpool have honoured Jota's memory in several ways, including the permanent retirement of his number 20 jersey.In a touching moment during Sunday's match, Liverpool fans began applauding at the 20-minute mark in memory of Jota.The tribute coincided with new signing Jeremie Frimpong scoring to give Liverpool a 2-1 lead.However, Ismaïla Sarr brought the scoreline to 2-2, with the match heading to penalties, where Palace edged out Liverpool (3-2) to lift the title.The Community Shield serves as England's traditional season opener, featuring a match between the previous season's Premier League champions and FA Cup winners.
