CommBank Joeys squad named for ASEAN U17 Championship 2026

CommBank Joeys Head Coach Carl Veart has named his 23-player squad to represent Australia at the ASEAN U17 Championship 2026 to be held in Surabaya, Indonesia from 8–24 April.

Australia, the defending champion after winning the 2024 edition of the tournament, has been placed in Group C alongside Cambodia, Singapore and Brunei.

There are three new players joining a CommBank Joeys squad for the first time, Archie Mitchell (Brisbane Roar), Nate Robson (Western Sydney Wanderers) and Achnaff Sayon (Perth Glory).

The ASEAN U17 Championship 2026 is an important step forward for the CommBank Joeys ahead of May’s AFC U17 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.

The CommBank Joeys’ campaign will kick off on Saturday, 11 April in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, where they will meet Brunei at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo. The squad will then play two further Group C fixtures against Singapore on Tuesday, 14 April and Cambodia on Friday, 17 April also at Gelora Delta Sidoarjo.
