Argentine media react as Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez scores in 2-0 win

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez rediscovered his goalscoring form away on international duty for Argentina, as they scraped a 2-1 win over Mauritius in a friendly.

Enzo Fernandez’s recent form at Chelsea has been a mix. The Argentine hasn’t scored in his last seven Premier League games after a prolific first half of the season.

Following Chelsea’s crushing 8-2 aggregate exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain, Enzo sparked major controversy by admitting he “didn’t understand” the board’s decision to sack Enzo Maresca, as well as comments on his future.

With rumors linking Fernandez to Real Madrid and PSG, he recently told Argentinian media that his future would only be decided after the 2026 World Cup, leaving his long-term commitment in doubt.

But he’s not letting that affect his football, which was evident during his display for Argentina.
