Lahore Qalandars all-rounder Sikandar Raza has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to defend their title in PSL 11, while acknowledging the pressure and unique challenges this season.Speaking during a media interaction, Raza said he was glad to arrive in Pakistan early, which helped him adjust to the weather, although it was colder than expected.He also highlighted the importance of fan presence, stating that cricket loses much of its essence without spectators. He expressed hope that conditions would soon improve so supporters can return to stadiums.“The first few games will be challenging without crowds,” Raza said, adding that teams thrive on the energy generated by fans, especially in a cricket-loving city like Lahore. He urged fans to continue praying for the team and hoped they would soon be back in the stands.Discussing squad preparations, Raza noted that while three to four players have been released, the team has brought in new players they had been targeting. He emphasized that the Qalandars have built a well-balanced unit with strong bench strength, which he believes will benefit the team.Having previously defended a title, Raza said the team understands the expectations that come with success and is aiming to repeat the achievement.“Pressure is part of the game. If you can embrace it and still perform, that’s what defines a champion side,” he said.
