Cooper Connolly – coming off a career best season in the IPL, Connolly has been capped across all formats for Australia at a very young age, in his previous BBL season, Connolly scored 351 runs and took six wickets in ten games.

Hassan Khan – the local turned his MLC form into a short term BBL deal and was impressive. In the MLC he has taken 10 wickets at 15.6 and even more impressively so, he has scored 204 runs in eight innings, at a strike rate of 143.66!

Callum Stow – a very young leg-spinner from Victoria, he’s had a great start to his career so far, with 12 wickets at an average of 14.16 and an economy of 6.25.

Washington Freedom:

Andries Gous – with Steven Smith and Travis Head unavailable due to prior commitments, the onus is on the local Gous to produce the big runs required. His International numbers are a statement of his talent, with an average of 32.65, coupled with a dangerous strike rate of 145.26.

Lockie Ferguson – the kiwi speedster is fit again and will be raring to go. He’s taken 24 wickets in the last six months, bowling at rapid speeds and averaged just under 20, with a brilliant economy of 7.54!

Glenn Maxwell – the all-rounder has been named captain of the Freedom this season, and after a subpar IPL season, he will look to put that behind him and turn his form around, leading the Freedom this season.
