The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the dates and venues for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, which will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

The 2025 edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup will run from September 30 to November 2, featuring eight teams competing in a round-robin format in 28 league matches and three knockout matches - the semi-finals and final.

A total of five venues have been selected for the tournament, four of which are in India and one in Sri Lanka. Pakistan will play all their matches in Sri Lanka.

Women’s World Cup 2025 venues

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

ACA Stadium, Guwahati

Holkar Stadium, Indore

ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam

R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

The tournament will begin with hosts India playing in Bengaluru, marking the return of the Women’s World Cup to Indian soil for the first time in 12 years.

Knockout fixtures have been planned with flexibility depending on team progression. The first semi-final is scheduled for October 29 and will be held in Guwahati or Colombo, while the second semi-final takes place in Bengaluru on October 30.

The final is set for November 2 and will be hosted in either Bengaluru or Colombo. Colombo will serve as a venue for the first semi-final and final only if Pakistan qualifies for those stages.

Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and hosts India qualified directly for the tournament.

The remaining two spots were secured by Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Women's World Cup Qualifiers in Lahore earlier this year.

Australia are the defending champions of the Women’s World Cup. They have won the title in seven out of the 12 editions held so far.
