Borussia Dortmund and Brighton suddenly want to sign Liverpool star who Jurgen Klopp called 'sensational

Liverpool are not expected to be active in this transfer window.

The Reds are in a great place in the Premier League and the Champions League right now. They are already well-equipped to go all the way without any further additions.

In terms of outgoings, however, there is interest from other clubs in a few Liverpool players. There could be a move or two in the coming weeks.

One extremely talented Reds star is now on the radar of two popular clubs.

Borussia Dortmund and Brighton want to sign Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott

Harvey Elliott joined Liverpool from Fulham when he was just 16 years old.

The versatile attacker has played 128 games in all competitions for the Reds and has made a good name for himself at the top level.

However, Elliott has been limited to just 147 minutes of football under Arne Slot since the start of this season. He has made just nine appearances.

The foot injury he suffered in September has been a factor, but even after he returned to full fitness, he has played just a handful of minutes in each of the Reds’ last five league games.

That has probably been seen by other clubs as an opportunity, and the Daily Mail have claimed now that Brighton and Hove Albion and Borussia Dortmund are both interested in signing Elliott.

Hailed as a ‘sensational talent’ by Jurgen Klopp on BBC, Elliott still has almost two-and-a-half years left on his contract at Anfield.

Should Liverpool sell Elliott this month?

Elliott is in a tricky position at Liverpool.

The 21-year-old offers the Reds a lot of options thanks to his versatility. He has played on both wings, as a number 10 and also in central midfield this campaign.

That is always a good option to have for any manager, but the lack of game time is a serious worry for Elliott. He needs to be playing more.

However, unless Liverpool sign a good replacement, we don’t think it makes sense for the Reds to get rid of him in this window.

Slot should keep everyone at the club as he aims to make history and win multiple trophies in his debut campaign at the helm at Anfield.
