Pretorius to return to Somerset for 2026 campaign

Somerset have re-signed all-rounder Migael Pretorius for the 2026 season on a multi-format contract.

This will be the South African's third spell at the County Ground having first joined in 2024.

The 30-year-old has scored 550 runs in 16 matches across all formats for the club and also taken 52 wickets.

He claimed three for 27 in the T20 Blast semi-final, as Somerset overcame Lancashire on Finals Day before going on to clinch their third title.

Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry said: "From the moment he arrived in 2024, Migael wholeheartedly bought into the culture of the club.

"During his two previous spells with the club, he has shown that he has the ability to impact games with the bat, with the ball and in the field, and he will once again add valuable depth and experience to the squad."
