David Ornstein: Everton Submit £40m Offer to Sign Southampton Star

Everton have submitted an offer of around £40m to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

The Toffees are pushing for new additions in the summer transfer window, with David Moyes having a small squad to choose from as it stands. The additions of Thierno Barry, Adam Aznou, Mark Travers, and Carlos Alcaraz are helping Everton's situation, but the Merseyside club will need more reinforcements before the end of the window.

Southampton are yet to respond to the offer from Everton, but they are seeking a higher fee to allow him to depart. It's a positive sign for the Toffees that Dibling is keen to return to the Premier League, and the Merseyside club are pushing to secure his signature with talks clearly ongoing.

It will be a bit of a risky move from Everton considering the finances involved, but he's a player who would fit naturally on the right-hand side. With sky-high potential, there's every chance the Toffees make a profit on him in the future. Dibling is still only 19 years old and was making an impact at Premier League level at the age of 18, in a Southampton side who finished bottom.
