Women’s Tennis Welcomes UMass Before Two-Week Break

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis will play UMass-Amherst this Saturday, March 7 at 11:30 a.m. ET before taking a near two-week long break. The contest versus the Minutewomen will be the final home non-conference contest for the Crimson.

What to Know

Last weekend, the Crimson cruised past the Quinnipiac Bobcats, 6-1, on its home courts.

The Crimson got out to an early lead as it dominated doubles with a 6-2 win on court one and an unblemished 6-0 victory on court three.

Harvard then won five of six singles matches, including winning four in straight-set fashion. To record her seventh win of the year, Kate Kim blanked her opponent, 6-0, 6-0.

Stephanie Yakoff recorded her 17th win of the season against the Bobcats, improving to 7-1 in the spring season. The junior currently ranks as the No. 68 singles player in the nation.

In doubles, Yakoff and Kavya Karra continue to rank inside the top 50 in the country, most recently checking in at No. 41. The duo is a perfect 8-0 in dual competition and 14-3 overall throughout the 2025-26 season.

Karra is also having a strong individual season with the second-most singles victories on the team with a record of 15-5. The junior has played primarily at the No. 2 singles spot and last weekend won 6-2, 6-2.

The sophomores Anna-Raphaëlle Serghi and Natasha Rajaram have been consistent contributors in Harvard's lineup the season. Each recorded a victory last weekend with Serghi winning 7-6 (6), 6-2 at court four and Rajaram recorded the final point of the day on court six.

The Crimson remains inside the nations top 75 teams, checking in at No. 75 in the most recent ITA Division I Women's Team Rankings.

Harvard is a perfect 11-0 against the Minutewomen including having won 5-0 last season in the non-conference finale.

The Crimson will return to action against Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET in Fort Meyers, Fla.
