“Cristiano Ronaldo has acquired 25% of UD Almería’s shares through CR7 Sports Investments, a subsidiary of CR7 S.A., marking an important step in the continued expansion of both the club and the Portuguese entrepreneur’s investment portfolio.”

The statement also emphasized that the move aligns with the international expansion strategy led by club president Mohamed Al Khereiji through his business conglomerate SMC Group.

Mohamed Al Khereiji welcomed Cristiano’s involvement, stressing that the partnership goes beyond financial backing. According to his remarks, Ronaldo brings invaluable experience, global visibility, and a deep understanding of Spanish football.

The president highlighted that Cristiano recognizes the club’s long-term potential, both at first-team level and within its youth development structure — a key pillar of Almería’s sporting project.
