Preparations for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup China 2025™ are ramping up, with Australia Women’s National Futsal Team Head Coach Miles Downie selecting a 28-player squad for a five-day training camp in Sydney. The squad will assemble from Monday, 31 March to Friday, 4 April, as they continue their build-up to the tournament in China later this year. The squad retains all 14 players who competed in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ Qualifiers 2025 in Uzbekistan during January, while integrating 14 new players — strengthening depth and competition within the national team setup. After finishing top of their group at the Qualifiers where they secured four wins from four matches — including a 6-1 victory over Turkmenistan in their first-ever international match — the squad will use this camp to further develop and hone preparations ahead of Australia’s maiden appearance at the tournament. The AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup China 2025™ draw, held at the Juva Grand Hotel, China in February, placed Australia in Group A alongside hosts China PR, 2016 runners-up Uzbekistan, and world number 25, Chinese Taipei. The top three teams at the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup China 2025™ will qualify for the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup™.With the Philippines hosting the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup™ between 21 November and 7 December 2025, Football Australia saw an ideal opportunity to establish a team specifically for this cycle, ensuring a competitive pathway for the women’s futsal program.Australia Women’s National Futsal Team Head Coach Miles Downie said: “This training camp is an important step in our preparation for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup. The squad showed great potential in the qualifiers, and this camp will allow us to continue to develop each individual and the collective.“We’ve brought together a talented and driven group of players. The focus of this camp is to accelerate their development, continue building our way of playing, and create a competitive environment where everyone pushes each other to improve.“With a challenging group ahead of us at the Asian Cup, every session we have together is vital. This camp allows us to work on key elements so we can go into the tournament confident in our ability to perform,” Downie concluded.Australia Women’s National Futsal Team Training Camp Squad | 31 March – 4 April 2025Name Position Junior Football Club/Member Federation Current Futsal Club/Member Federation Grace ARNOLD PIVO Manly United FC / Football NSW UTS Northside FC / Football NSW Daisy ARROWSMITH ALA Northbridge FC / Football NSW UTS Northside FC / Football NSW Jessica AU ALA/FIXO Brunswick Zebras FC / Football Victoria Melbourne AKU FC / Football Victoria Amy BARKER ALA Hurlstone Park Wanderers SC / Football NSW Unattached Trudy CAMILLERI PIVO Ingleburn Eagles SC / Football NSW Mascot Vipers FC / Football NSW Brianna CLARKE GK St Marys SC / Football NSW Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC / Football NSW Aurelia COLLINS Universal Brookvale FC / Football NSW Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC / Football NSW Emily DUNN ALA/FIXO Park Ridge FC / Football Queensland Crusaders FC / Football Queensland Sarah EASTHOPE GK Henry Lawson SC / Football NSW Dural Warriors FC / Football NSW Nikkita FAZZARI ALA Ryde Panthers FC / Football NSW Dural Warriors FC / Football NSW Estelle FRAGALE FIXO Glen Haven FC / Football NSW Enfield Allstars FC / Football NSW Claudia FRUSCALZO PIVO Bundoora United FC / Football Victoria Fitzroy Tigers FC / Football Victoria Jessica GIOVINAZZO GK Bundoora United FC / Football Victoria Boomerangs FC / Football NSW Clare HOLDER FIXO/PIVO Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC / Football NSW Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC / Football NSW Alexia KARRYS-STAHL FIXO Gungahlin United FC / Football Victoria UTS Northside FC / Football NSW Alvina KHOSHABA ALA Mt Pritchard Juniors SC / Football NSW Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC / Football NSW Demi KOULIZAKIS PIVO Carss Park FC / Football NSW Enfield Allstars FC / Football NSW Meaghan MCELLIGOTT Universal Port Macquarie FC / Northern NSW Football Crusaders FC / Football Queensland Jessica MCLEAN GK Park Ridge FC / Football Queensland Crusaders FC / Football Queensland Sarah MOORE ALA Lambton Jaffas FC / Northern NSW Football Mascot Vipers FC / Football NSW Brittany PALOMBI ALA Majura FC / Capital Football West Canberra Lightning FC / Capital Football Sofia PALYWODA ALA Woden Valley SC / Capital Football Boomerangs FC / Football NSW Gisella PIPINO PIVO/ALA Manly Vale FC / Football NSW Eastern Suburbs Hakoah FC / Football NSW Halle SMIT ALA Seaforth FC / Football NSW UTS Northside FC / Football NSW Zoee SPADANO ALA Swan United FC / Football West South Perth Alliance FC / Football West Marianna TABAIN FIXO Cockburn City SC / Football West Cockburn Wolves FC / Football West Natalie TATHEM ALA/FIXO Wynnum Wolves FC / Football Queensland Perth Glory FC / Football West Michaela THORNTON Universal Tuggeranong United FC / Capital Football Boomerangs FC / Football NSWAFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup™ China 2025China PR v AustraliaDate: Tuesday 6, May 2025Kick-off: 8.00pm (Local) / 10.00pm (AEST)Venue: Hohhot Sports Centre, ChinaAustralia v UzbekistanDate: Thursday 8, May 2025Kick-off: 5.00pm (Local) / 7.00pm (AEST)Venue: Hohhot Sports Centre, ChinaChinese Taipei v AustraliaDate: Saturday 10, May 2025Kick-off: 5.00pm (Local) / 7.00pm (AEST)Venue: Hohhot Sports Centre, ChinaClick HERE to find more details regarding the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup China 2025™.
