Eintracht Frankfurt will only sell Manchester City transfer target Omar Marmoush if 'something extraordinary' happens.City are looking for reinforcements this month, and have identified 18-goal striker Marmoush as an attacking target, with the Egyptian valued at around £50m.The Blues are aware that signing a player with 30 goal involvements already this season will not be easy, especially with Eintracht third in the Bundesliga and fifth in the Europa League standings. However, their interest remains, and Eintracht have now responded, confirming no bids or approaches have been made - but they have not closed the door on a transfer this month.Frankfurt director of football Markus Krosche spoke about City's interest on Tuesday, telling Kicker they want to keep their star man but will not rule out selling him if they receive an offer they cannot refuse."Our basic intention is to keep the squad together," Krösche said. "Something extraordinary would have to happen for us to move away from this position."Earlier this season, Krosche explained how even Marmoush is 'not unsellable', saying: "For us, we don't want to lose so many key players. I have to honestly say that no Eintracht player is unsellable, but we want to keep the team together. I talk about Marmoush after every game. But that's a good thing. Omar gives our game an incredible amount."Krosche also spoke in November about Marmoush's asking price, stating that €40m would 'not be enough' to prompt Eintracht to sell, adding: "With many players who come to us, it is ultimately the case that we offer them an environment in which they can develop - knowing full well that we will let them go if they develop faster than the club itself.“This is an agreement we make with the boys. That's why we are able to attract so many exciting players, because they know they can take the next step in Frankfurt.”City are also monitoring Lens centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov who could join ahead of schedule this month, while Atalanta midfielder Ederson falls into the same category as Marmoush in that a January deal will be difficult. Lazio's on-loan Juventus midfielder Nicolo Rovella is the latest name to be linked with City in Italian media.
