29' Armagh 0-07 Donegal 0-11

A free in to Donegal allows Gavin Mulreany to trot up and fire over a two-pointer. Interesting to note Jim McGuinness' side have converted 3 of their 7 attempts from outside the arc, whereas Armagh are yet to look for a two-point score.

23' Armagh 0-07 Donegal 0-09

Oisin O'Neill curls over a wonderful score that was just a metre shy of being a two-pointer had he not stepped inside the arc. Donegal waste no time in restoring their advantage after a Jason McGee point and a superb bit of skill from Conor McCahill to convert.

17' Armagh 0-06 Donegal 0-07

The gap is down to one as it stands after Cian McConville and Oisin O'Neill fire over two quick points for the Orchard County. At the other end, an Oisin Gallen free from two-point range comes down short into Blaine Hughes' gloves.

14' Armagh 0-04 Donegal 0-07

Oisin Conaty does well to shrug off his marker and split the posts from a really tricky angle on the run. Donegal take the kickout quickly and find Michael Langan in space who takes another two-point score. Cian McConville gets off the mark with a fisted point after collecting a Ben Crealey pass.

9' Armagh 0-02 Donegal 0-04

Shortly after Michael Langan kicks his second score of the game, Armagh get off the mark through an Oisin O'Neill free and a Jarly Og Burns effort. Donegal show great patience to work the ball to Eoghan Ban Gallagher who converts from the right.

The visitors make the perfect start with some direct play as Michael Langan fires over a two-pointer from the top of the arc. A minute later, Hugh McFadden tries his luck from a similar range but no reward this time.

1’ The ball is thrown in and away we go!

It’s been a breezy late afternoon in Armagh making conditions that bit more challenging at the Athletic Grounds. The man with the whistle for this fixture is Brendan Cawley from the Sarrsfields GAA Club in County Kildare.

Michael Verney is at the game reporting - he sets the scene from Armagh!

Old rivals reunite

They have played out two classic Ulster SFC finals in the past two seasons and today sees another tasty clash between Donegal and Armagh.

Conditions are soft, to say the least, after a woeful downpour in recent hours in Armagh town as Jim McGuinness’ Donegal bid to make it four from four in Division 1 of the League.

Kieran McGeeney has been in the news recently with his “piggery” comments and it is more suited for hogs than footballers in the Athletic Grounds as these great rivals reunite.

After their narrow defeat to Roscommon last weekend, Armagh continue with Blaine Hughes between the sticks and Gareth Murphy at full-back. Ross McQuillan lines out at right half-back behind Callum O’Neill and Ben Crealey in midfield. Conor Turbitt remains in the half-forward line, while Cian McConville, Oisin O’Neill and Oisin Conaty make up the full-forward rank:
