Aberdeen's disastrous end to the season got even more ugly after a Jack MacKenzie was struck by a SEAT thrown by one of their own supporters.

The Dons had gone into the game against Dundee United at Tannadice knowing a point would secure a fourth place finish in the Premiership.

And despite taking a first half lead through Jeppe Okkels, goals from Declan Gallagher and a Sam Dalby penalty saw United leapfrog Jimmy Thelin's men into fourth spot and leave them devoid of any confidence going into next Saturday's Scottish Cup final against Celtic.

And in shocking scenes at the end of the game, Aberdeen full back MacKenzie had to be taken away for treatment after a seat was launched towards him from the away section.

Medical staff quickly surrounded the player on the pitch while home fans spilled onto the turf to celebrate their comeback victory.
