Liudmila Samsonova vs Coco Gauff prediction

Liudmila Samsonova breezed through to the next round of the Stuttgart Open after thrashing Antonia Ruzic. Samsnova made an incredible start as she won the first nine games to go a set and a double break up. Ruzic did win her first game by retrieving one of the breaks, but she failed to mount a comeback as Samsonova won 6-0 6-4, ending a six-match losing run.

She now takes on Coco Gauff. This will be the American’s first clay court match of the season, having last competed at the Miami Open. Gauff enjoyed her best ever run at the event, making it all the way to the final after a number of hard-fought victories. However, despite pushing world number one Aryna Sabalenka to a deciding set, Gauff would lose in three.

Gauff leads the WTA head-to-head 2-0 and she will be the clear favourite to come out on top here.
