Talat taken to hospital after sustaining shoulder injury

Pakistan all-rounder Hussain Talat was taken to hospital after sustaining a shoulder injury during the second game of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.

"Following the initial assessment, he has been taken to a hospital for a detailed examination," PCB said in a statement. "The nature and extent of the injury will be determined after the doctors complete further medical evaluation," it added.

Meanwhile, there was more drama in the game as Pakistan batter Salman Agha was run out in unusual fashion by Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan, leaving Agha fuming.

The incident took place in the 39th over when Mohammad Rizwan hit the ball towards Agha at the non-striker's end off Mehidy's bowling, and the spinner and the batter got into a bit of a tangle.

While Agha was still well outside the crease, both tried to pick up the ball, and Mehidy was first to it. He swiftly turned and got a direct hit with an underarm throw.

Agha threw his arms up in the air and his equipment as soon as he saw on-field umpire Tanvir Ahmed call for the third umpire's decision after Mehidy and the Bangladesh fielders appealed immediately. Agha left the field pointing and screaming after he fell for 64 off 62 balls.

Kumar Dharmasena, the third umpire, adjudged it out after seeing the replay and said that the batter was out of the crease when the wickets were broken. That also ended the 109-run fourth-wicket stand with Rizwan, which had steadied Pakistan after they lost three wickets for 18 runs following a 103-run opening stand.
