"I won’t make it back for grass season” - Nick Kyrgios on latest injury setback as 2022 finalist misses Wimbledon 2025

Nick Kyrgios has officially ruled himself out of the 2025 Wimbledon Grand Slam tennis tournament after suffering another injury setback.

The 30-year-old Australian confirmed via social media on Monday (June 2) that a recurring knee issue has disrupted his recovery, ending hopes of a return during the grass court tournament season, which is traditionally his strongest surface.

The 2022 Wimbledon finalist, who worked as a commentator for last year's event, had already withdrawn from the ongoing 2025 French Open due to the same knee injury and has struggled with wrist problems in recent years.

“Unfortunately, I won’t make it back for grass season this year,” Kyrgios shared in an Instagram story. “This is just a bump in the road... I’m already working hard to get back stronger.”
