All 50 Pakistani players, which includes 45 men and five women, remained unsold in The Hundred draft . Big names like Imad Wasim, Saim Ayub, Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali and Naseem Shah, who was the highest priced, all found no bidders.Among women Aliya Riaz, Fatima Sana, Yusra Amir, Iram Javed, and Jaweria Rauf did not find any takers.Meanwhile, Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad and New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell got the best deal. Ahmad joined Manchester Originals, while Bracewell was picked by Southern Brave. Former Australia cricketer David Warner was picked by London Spirit.In another development that highlights the plight of Pakistan cricket, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced cost-cutting measures including slashing the match fees of players in domestic cricket.The PCB has reduced the match fees of cricketers participating in the upcoming National T20 Championship by 75 per per cent from PKR 40,000 rupees per match to PKR 10,000 per match. Reserve players will get PKR 5000 per match. The tournament begins on March 14.This cut has raised concern among players, while the board is also considering spending less on development of domestic cricket.Further, the PCB is yet to implement an annual pension increase for former Test cricketers, as mandated by board policy.
