By Winston-Salem OpenThe Winston-Salem Open has awarded two-time Grand Slam finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas a wild card into the 2025 tournament. This will be the 12-time ATP Tour champion’s debut appearance in Winston-Salem.“It’s an honour to award a wild card to a player of Tsitsipas’ calibre,” said Tournament Director Jeff Ryan. “He brings a world-class pedigree that adds to our already exciting 2025 player field, and we can’t wait to see him in action here in Winston-Salem.”Tsitsipas reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3 in 2021 and has finished runner-up at the 2021 Roland Garros and 2023 Australian Open. He has one title to his name so far in 2025, claimed at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in February.Tsitsipas joins a number of Top 50 stars set to compete at this year’s event, including reigning Winston-Salem Open champion Lorenzo Sonego and 2024 finalist Alex Michelsen.
