IPL World Cup: Flop Tournament Set for Return?

The England and Wales Cricket Board has decided that it wants to revive the previously failed Champions League once again, provided the dynamically changed scenario regarding T20 League games nowadays.

The Champions League, which ran between 2009 and 2014, was a collaboration between several cricket boards where franchises used to compete with each other.

Now that every other nation has its own league, many feel that it would be the right time for a ‘Club World Cup’ like scenario, where teams from all over the world would compete to grab the trophy.

While many are in favour of this, some claim that it will be too much cricket, and will ruin the excitement of the game by bringing in fatigue.
