Karachi Kings captain David Warner has responded firmly to an Indian fan who suggested that he should leave the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the 2026 season. The comment came after Karachi Kings were eliminated from the PSL 11 playoff race.Warner shared a post on Instagram after the end of the tournament, reflecting on Karachi Kings’ campaign. Although the team had an underwhelming finish, he praised the squad for its effort throughout the season. The former Australian opener highlighted the “passion, resilience, and attitude” shown by the players. He also said the pressure and demands of franchise cricket are difficult to fully understand unless someone is part of that environment.Warner thanked the fans for their “unwavering support” and also acknowledged the PSL organizers for their hospitality. He further appreciated the work of security personnel and police, who helped ensure safety and managed crowd-related challenges during the tournament. In a lighter part of his post, Warner suggested that future PSL editions could include more recreational activities such as padel or golf. He also expressed hope of returning to packed stadiums in the coming seasons. However, the post gained extra attention after an Indian fan commented that Warner should quit the PSL and return to the IPL. “It’s better for you to quit PSL and return back in IPL,” the fan wrote.Warner, however, replied briefly but clearly, shutting down the suggestion. “No need for that now,” he responded.Karachi Kings were officially eliminated from PSL 11 after Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the 38th match of the tournament. This is the fourth time Karachi Kings have failed to qualify for the PSL playoffs since the league began in 2016. The franchise had also missed the top four in three straight seasons from 2022 to 2024.
