HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team open the 2026 season with a dual match against 22nd-ranked Washington on Wednesday, Jan. 15th. First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex. Last year as a rookie, she posted a 4-5 overall record playing primarily on the No. 5 and No. 6 courts. Also having a solid fall season was senior Allaire Berl, who posted an 8-4 fall record. Last year, she recorded a 1-0 record, winning her No. 6 match at UC Riverside.Making the biggest impact on the team were a pair of newcomers--Grete Gull (a freshman from Kuressare, Estonia) and Sophie Rachor (a senior transfer from Concordia Irvine) who joined forces to make a strong run through the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Southwest Regionals where they advanced all the way to the semifinals which propelled the duo into the ITA Sectionals. UH's top doubles duo recorded an 8-3 record in the fall together.Also coming through in doubles was the pairing of Hannah Galindo and Nepomuceno who notched a 10-2 record in the fall.The 22nd-ranked Huskies are led in singles by a pair of ranked players--#43 Reece Carter and #66 Erika Matsuda.
