head-to-head, schedule and how to watch live French Open action

A mammoth clash awaits in the 2025 French Open quarter-finals between Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic.

The last two Olympic tennis men’s singles champions will face off at Roland-Garros this week, the same site where Djokovic ended his wait for Olympic gold at Paris 2024.

The 38-year-old Djokovic is back in form in Paris, coming off the back of his 100th career singles title in Geneva before securing a century of victories at Roland-Garros in the previous round.

The 24-time major champion is still pushing for that record-breaking 25th, which would set him as the most successful singles player – man or woman – in tennis history.

For Zverev, the 2025 French Open is about going one step further than last year, where he was beaten in the final by Carlos Alcaraz. A three-time Grand Slam finalist but never a champion, the German wants to change that this season.

The tournament third seed will also find himself slightly fresher than sixth seed Djokovic, after Zverev’s round of 16 opponent Tallon Griekspoor retired early in the second set of their encounter, handing the Tokyo 2020 champion a place in the last eight.

Here is what you need to know ahead of the battle of the Olympic gold medallists, Zverev and Djokovic.
