South Africa unveil schedule for key WTC series

Cricket South Africa (CSA) have revealed the schedule for the men’s senior team in the upcoming 2026/27 home season.

It is another important year for the Proteas men's team as they continue their ICC World Test Championship title defence. During a busy home season, they will take on Australia, Bangladesh and England.

They begin the home season with a multi-format series against Australia, which begins with a three-match ODI series from September 24-30. The two teams that squared off in the last World Test Championship Final, South Africa and Australia, will lock horns in a three-Test series.

South Africa had clinched the coveted title in June when they defeated Australia by five wickets in the summit clash at Lord's.

In November, Bangladesh will tour South Africa for an all-format series, which includes two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is. The first Test will be held at the World Wanderers Stadium from November 15.

South Africa will then welcome England for a multi-format tour. The teams will face off in three Tests, with the first Test getting underway on December 17, and three ODIs.
