Jordie Barrett and RG Snyman shine : Planet Rugby

Following a dominant 52-0 victory over Glasgow Warriors in the Investec Champions Cup quarter-final at the Aviva Stadium on Friday, here are the player ratings for Leinster.

15 Hugo Keenan: Brilliant lines, superb passing and a player who ultimately showed his class in all aspects of the game. 8

14 Tommy O’Brien: Made his first Champions Cup start and took his chance, scoring one try with a superb finish and having some very nice touches elsewhere. Another outstanding option in that back three. 8

13 Garry Ringrose: After his return to form last weekend, Ringrose built on that effort with another fine game. Scored a nice try and combined very well with Barrett. 8

12 Jordie Barrett: How good? An absolutely ridiculous performance as Barrett displayed his All Blacks class on both sides of the ball. Carried hard, linked play nicely with his distribution and also earned two superb breakdown turnovers. So close to perfect. 9

11 James Lowe Perhaps not quite as impactful as last week but still a good performance from Lowe, who was always busy in attack and looked for opportunities to get himself involved. 7

Growing as a fly-half

10 Sam Prendergast: Is growing in that 10 jersey and looking much slicker. Of course, Prendergast is getting an easy ride thanks to what is around him and he will be judged by the semi-finals and final – should Leinster get there – but he was once again fantastic. 9

9 Jamison Gibson-Park: Bullet passes and superb decision-making for the most part. Surprisingly, there was the odd communication issue, leading to errant passes, but Gibson-Park was still magnificent. 8

8 Jack Conan (c): Had started well enough but wasn’t really on long enough to judge after suffering a concerning injury. N/A

7 Josh van der Flier: Followed up last weekend’s barnstorming display with another powerful performance. In both defence and attack, Van der Flier made an impact. 8

6 Max Deegan: Given his chance after some fine displays in both competitions this season and Deegan was excellent, finishing the game with a brace. 8

Off-load central

5 RG Snyman: Looks like a cricket ball in his hands such is the size of them. Snyman’s ability to off-load on the gain line and keep the ball alive has added a new dimension to this Leinster team. Stupidly good. 9

4 Joe McCarthy: Added physicality throughout and seemed to follow Snyman around in attack, looking for the Springbok’s off-loads. It worked very effectively as McCarthy made several dents with ball in hand. 8

3 Tadhg Furlong: Still searching for his best after an injury-disrupted season but the signs were promising here. Scrummaging was excellent and Furlong was abrasive in the loose. 7

2 Rónan Kelleher: On his first game back after injury, Kelleher had plenty of good moments in both the set-piece and loose. 7

1 Cian Healy: Took advantage of Zander Fagerson’s absence by dominating Sam Talakai whenever there was a scrum, but it was not a huge factor in the overall context of the match before he came off in the first half. 6

Replacements: The front-row were immediately impactful when they came on, with Andrew Porter and Dan Sheehan particularly physical. Caelan Doris and Robbie Henshaw were also excellent, but Luke McGrath and Ross Byrne weren’t quite as slick. 7
