Vanessa Trump has broken her silence on Instagram, sharing new photos just days after her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, was arrested for DUI on Friday.

The sports world was left stunned by the news of Wood’s arrest after he was reportedly driving at high speed near his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, before the crash that led to his detention. The 50-year-old golfer was released from the cell where he spent all of Friday afternoon after being arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic accident that, fortunately, resulted in no injuries.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Woods has been involved in a serious car accident. In February 2021, he suffered open fractures to his tibia and fibula in a crash in Los Angeles that put his career in jeopardy. More recently, he had been preparing for a return to competition while recovering from an Achilles tendon rupture he suffered in March 2025.

While reactions poured in following the incident, President Donald Trump, a close friend of Woods, said moments after finding out, “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident, and that’s all I know. He’s a very close friend of mine, an amazing person, an amazing man, but he’s going through some difficulty. I don’t want to talk about it.”

As the story unfolded, people also began looking to Vanessa Trump, Woods' current girlfriend and former daughter-in-law of Donald Trump, wondering if she would respond. At first, she stayed quiet. Then, a few days later, she took to Instagram, sharing photos with her daughter, Kai. She didn’t address the incident, but it didn’t go unnoticed.

The photos had nothing to do with Tiger, and she didn’t say anything about what happened. They simply showed Kai enjoying time at the Miami Open tennis tournament. Kai, who is very active on social media, is set to enroll at the University of Miami in fall 2026, where she’ll play golf. One photo shows 17-year-old Kai posing with women’s world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka at the Miami Open on Friday.

Neither the president’s eldest grandchild nor her mother was with Woods at the time of the incident, nor were they together. The president’s eldest grandchild was at the tournament, spending time with professional tennis players around the same time Woods was involved in the crash. Vanessa’s exact whereabouts at the time remain unknown.

Woods and Vanessa Trump have been together for over a year. Their relationship first came to light in March 2025, when the Daily Mail reported that they had quietly started dating around Thanksgiving 2024.
