An Isle of Wight player has helped secure an international squash series victory for England.Adam Dominey, a coach and player, represented England in the Masters Transatlantic Squash Series in Toronto, Canada.AdvertisementHe delivered a decisive performance in the final against hosts Canada.#READ MORE: Isle of Wight group aiming to get more children involved in cricketEngland’s first match was against Ireland, where Mr Dominey set the tone with a straight-games win, 11-8, 11-7, 11-9.The team won the tie 4-1 overall.They followed up with a dominant performance against the United States, winning all matches.AdvertisementThe final against Canada proved to be the toughest challenge of the tournament.Mr Dominey lost the first two games 6-11, 4-11 to a former professional.However, he rallied to win 11-4, then came back from 0-7 down to take the fourth game 11-9.In a tense decider, he trailed 8-10 before saving two match points and clinching the match 12-10, securing the series for England.Mr Dominey said: "It was a great pleasure to represent England again and to play the top players from the respective Countries".He now turns his attention to the World Championships in Perth, Australia, taking place at the end of August.
