Fabregas' requests revealed, Inter continue to push

Cesc Fabregas has made his requests to Inter, including a three-year contract, but the Nerazzurri must convince Como to release their coach.

Como coach Fabregas is Inter’s priority target to replace Simone Inzaghi, who was announced as the new Al-Hilal boss on Wednesday.

Fabregas’ requests for Inter revealed

Sources tell Football Italia that Fabregas has demanded guarantees from Inter in terms of new summer signings and requested a three-year contract with an option for a further campaign.

Now it’s up to Inter to match Fabregas’ demands in order to convince him to push for a Como exit.

Both Fabregas and Como President Mirwan Suwarso spoke about the matter on Wednesday, suggesting that a split-up wasn’t on the agenda.

“It’s a long journey, it will take several seasons and revolves around Cesc Fabregas, who will not leave the club,” said the club president.

“I really believe in the Como project,” added Fabregas.

“I started with this club because I was thinking about a long-term project. I don’t want to finish my career at a club where there’s a project for one or two years and then everything ends.

“I really believe in Como’s long-term project. I arrived here as a player, and I’m very, very happy because I get to work in the way that I want. We have the same goals and the same ambition.”

Inter’s alternatives to Fabregas

The two clubs and the coach will resolve the matter in the coming hours, one way or another.

Football Italia can confirm that Patrick Vieira and Christian Chivu are the primary options for Inter if they fail to convince Como and Fabregas, but they are far below the ex-Spanish coach in the Nerazzurri pecking order.

As we exclusively reported on Wednesday, Inter director Piero Ausilio travelled to London on Wednesday to discuss with Fabregas and Como.
