Manchester United summer signing Benjamin Sesko could make his debut for the club against Arsenal and the Slovenian has posted a hint ahead of their Premier League opener. Ruben Amorim's side take on last season's top-flight runners-up in the fixture of the weekend ahead of an important campaign.

The Gunners targeted Sesko before they turned their attention to Viktor Gyokeres, and the 22-year-old could come back to haunt Mikel Arteta after completing his move from RB Leipzig last week. However, United landed their target after beating Newcastle United to his signature.

Following last season's poor performance in the Premier League, there will be an added focus on United's showing in the top-flight as they look to bounce back from the 15th-place finish.

Sesko could be handed his debut on Sunday and he posted on social media ahead of the showdown at Old Trafford.

Players often post to their social media channels ahead of matches and it doesn't always necessarily mean they will be handed a start or even included in the squad.

But the United boss hinted that he could be handed his bow in a United shirt, he said: "He hasn't had a lot of time, [but] physically he's ready. He's really smart, a guy who's always thinking.

"He is ready to play but we'll see if he's going to start. I think he has great potential in everything he does.

“He can play different types of football. He's going to feel that the Premier League is really aggressive, he's going to learn, but he has a great potential and I can see Ben being a striker for Manchester United for a lot of years.

“That's why we paid so much money - to have a striker that will have his history in our club. The guy is always thinking about football. He's really obsessed by that and that is a good thing because you don't have to think about that aspect with that young guy.

“I don't need to tell Ben, 'this is Manchester United, a lot of pressure, you have to perform, you need to be ready for the physicality, we need to be ready for every game, it's like do-or-die'.

“With that guy, I have not that concern. I have the opposite, [he needs to] enjoy [himself] a little bit. He's listening, and he wants to perform, so that is really good."
