Non-league club partners with Italian giants Juventus

A non-league club playing in the sixth tier of English football have partnered with Italian giants, and two-time Champions League winners, Juventus.

The Serie A club have joined up with National League South team Maidenhead United to mark Non-League Day 2026, on Saturday.

The collaboration originated from the two clubs' shared use of black and white kits - a colour scheme which is particularly associated with the Turin-based club.

As part of the partnership, Juventus are urging their UK-based fans to support the Berkshire club at their home fixture against Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.

As part of their support, Juventus are sending over one of the club's home shirts - which Maidenhead said would be framed and displayed "for many years to come".

The similarities of the two club's kits initially led Juventus to supporting Maidenhead.

The Italian club have played in their zebra strip since 1901, whilst Maidenhead, nicknamed the Magpies, adopted their current colour-scheme 18 years later, following the World War One.

Shay Bottomley, from Maidenhead United, said the club was "very grateful" to Juventus for their support.

"Juventus fans are renowned for their fantastic vocal support, so I'm sure they'll fit right in with the Magpies at York Road," he said.

"It's shaping up to be a brilliant celebration of non-league football."

To mark Non-League Day, Maidenhead are offering tickets brought in ahead of Saturday's game for £5, with entrance for under 17s costing £1.

The Magpies currently sit fifth in the National League South, just 10 points off league leaders Dorking Wanderers, with seven games left of the league season.

Meanwhile, their Italian counterparts Juventus are also currently in fifth place in the Italian top division, and were knocked out of the Champions League last month by Turkish side Galatasaray.
