Pak 14&under girls’ tennis team departs for Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifiers in Vietnam

Pakistan’s 14&Under Girls’ Tennis Team has departed for Vietnam to compete in the 2026 Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event of the ITF World Juniors Competition, scheduled from 2–7 March at NovaWorld Phan Thiet.

The team, representing the nation on the international stage, comprises Hajra Sohail, Khadija Khalil, Eesha Rabbi, and team captain Sara Mansoor. These young athletes are set to face competitors from across the Asia-Oceania region in a bid to secure qualification for the ITF World Juniors.

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has expressed full confidence in the squad, with both the President and Secretary General extending their best wishes ahead of the tournament. Officials emphasized the importance of such international exposure for the development of Pakistan’s junior tennis talent.

“This is a significant opportunity for our young girls to gain valuable experience and showcase their talent at a high level,” the PTF said in a statement. “We are confident that our team will perform admirably and make the country proud.”

The Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event is a critical stepping stone for junior players aspiring to compete on the world stage, providing experience against diverse playing styles and high-level competition. For Pakistan, continued participation in such events reflects the growing focus on nurturing young talent and promoting tennis among the country’s youth.
