Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic will no longer be coached by Andy Murray.

Djokovic, 37, recruited his former rival to his coaching staff ahead of the Australian Open 2025, but after six months together, the pair have decided to split.

"Thank you, coach Andy, for all the hard work, fun and support over last six months on and off the court," the 24-time Grand Slam men's singles title winner wrote on social media, confirming the news. "I really enjoyed deepening our friendship together."

Their partnership had started brightly, with the injured Serb defeating Carlos Alcaraz to advance to the quarter-finals at the first Slam of the year in Australia. He was then forced to retire from his semi-final clash against Alexander Zverev, but was full of praise for the Brit's support.

Since recovering, however, Djokovic has struggled with form. Notable losses this year include defeats to Jakub Mensik in the Miami Open final, Alejandro Tabilo in the second round of Monte Carlo, and Matteo Arnaldi in Madrid.

As a player, Murray won three Grand Slam titles and three Olympic medals, two of them gold, before retiring after the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Djokovic is the reigning Olympic men's singles champion will now turn to the Geneva Open next week, where he has accepted a wild card to play.

He reached the semi-finals of the event last year.
