Coco Gauff roared with all her might upon completing her comeback to reach the 2025 French Open semi-finals.

The 21-year-old tennis star came from behind to defeat fellow American Madison Keys 6-7(6), 6-4, 6-1 in an enthralling Roland-Garros quarter-final clash at Court Philippe-Chatrier on Wednesday (4 June).

Last year’s doubles champion and singles finalist in 2022, Gauff is into her third singles semi-final in Paris. She will face the winner of sixth seed Mirra Andreeva or unseeded underdog Loïs Boisson - the next match on Court Philippe-Chatrier - in the women's singles semi-finals.

A gloomy morning in Paris was not enough to dampen a star-studded matchup between Australian Open champion Keys and world number two Gauff, though the rainy conditions were nonetheless unsettling.

Gauff saved one break point yet was quickly broken in the opening game, before a mix of unforced errors from her opponent allowed 21-year-old Gauff to break right back.
