PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi assures full independence to national selection committee

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, , has reaffirmed his support for the national cricket selection committee, granting it complete independence in making team-related decisions.

While meeting with the committee members, Naqvi stressed the importance of carrying out their responsibilities with integrity and professionalism. He advised the selectors to perform their duties without being influenced by any external pressure.

The PCB chief also urged the panel to disregard criticism that lacks constructive value, assuring them that the board leadership stands firmly behind their decisions.

The current selection committee includes former Pakistan captains Misbah-ul-Haq and Sarfaraz Ahmed, along with former international cricketers Asad Shafiq and Aaqib Javed.

Members of the panel expressed gratitude to the PCB chairman for placing trust in their work and for ensuring that they can operate with full authority in selecting the national squad.
