Zimbabwe fast bowler Brad Evans has inscribed his name into the record books by achieving a remarkable milestone in T20 cricket, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

Evans became the first bowler in T20 history to take at least one wicket in 28 consecutive innings.

He reached the landmark during a Super Eight clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup by dismissing West Indies captain Shai Hope.

The record was previously held jointly by Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga and Ireland pacer Mark Adair, both of whom had claimed wickets in 27 successive T20 innings.

The Zimbabwean pacer’s consistency has been a key asset for his side, particularly in high-pressure matches.

However, the record may soon face a challenge from Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq, who has already taken wickets in 25 consecutive T20 innings and is closing in on the milestone.
