After a closely fought game on Friday, which New Zealand won by 26 runs, Bangladesh will feel that they are very much still in this series ahead of the second match of three on Monday in Mirpur.

Bangladesh Preview

Bangladesh did not put in a poor performance on Friday and a couple of tweaks would certainly have seen them come out on top and come into Monday's game with a 1-0 lead.

With the ball, left-arm pace bowler Shoriful Islam continues to be a real talent who can succeed at international level and he impressed with 2/27 including two overs from his full compliment on Friday.

Taskin Ahmed and Rishad Hossain both also come into this match after taking two wickets in the opening ODI.

Batting wise, opener Saif Hassan (57), keeper-batter Litton Das (46) and Towhid Hridoy (55) all come into this second ODI in fine form and having been able to get on top of the Black Caps' bowlers.

New Zealand Preview

This may not be the most recognisable group of individuals to have represented New Zealand over recent years, due to many players being involved in this year's Indian Premier League and Pakistan Super League, but there remains a huge amount of talent for the selectors to choose from, even in alien conditions in Bangladesh.

Experienced Henry Nicholls will again be key at the top of the order and his 68 runs in the first ODI were key.

Will Young, skipper Tom Latham and Dean Foxcroft also come into this match after impressing with the bat on Friday.

Bowling wise, Blair Tickner was the match winner, dismissing four Bangladesh batters in a row to take them from 194/5 to 214/9 and he, along with Nathan Smith, will be the main threat to the hosts.
