Bears top PFF performers from win over Packers

Chicago Bears football concluded on Sunday, and with it come PFF grades.

Pro Football Focus has been an industry leader in football analytics since 2006, and with the new season coming into play, we figured it would be a good idea to highlight some of the top performers on both sides of the ball in each Bears game going forward.

The Bears broke their 10-game losing streak in jaw-dropping fashion, defeating the Packers 24-22 in Green Bay off a last-second field goal by Cairo Santos. The defense and special teams ultimately led Chicago to their first win over the Packers since 2018 — as well as their first win at Lambeau Field since 2015 — but spurts of offense helped them crawl away with the upset win to build some momentum heading into the 2025 NFL offseason.

Here are the top 5 performers from all three phases in the Bears’ victory on Sunday.

Offense

RG Matt Pryor (83.6) WR DJ Moore (79.4) RT Darnell Wright (78.0) LT Larry Borom (69.9) RB Roschon Johnson (64.3)

For reference, quarterback Caleb Williams had a PFF grade of 56.4 in his final game of the 2024-25 season. Despite his fumble in the fourth quarter, Moore led the team in receiving with 9 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown.

Defense

CB Terell Smith (85.2) CB Kyler Gordon (83.2) CB Jaylon Johnson (81.9) FS Jonathan Owens (74.2) FS Kevin Byard (72.7)

In 16 defensive snaps as a perimeter cornerback, Smith was targeted once and broke up the pass. That gives him a targeted passer rating allowed of just 39.6.

Special teams

WR Collin Johnson (84.3) DB Adrian Colbert (68.2) LS Scott Daly (67.5) CB Terell Smith (65.0) LE Daniel Hardy (64.8)

Josh Blackwell, who returned a punt back for a touchdown, graded above-average still at 68.9.
