Chelsea vs PSG in 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final on Sunday 13 July: Head-to-head record, schedule and how to watch live

English giants Chelsea will meet French and European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday (13 July), with both sides standing on the brink of men's football history.

João Pedro’s brace helped the Blues see off Fluminense 2-0 in Tuesday’s semi-final, while PSG brushed aside Real Madrid 4-0 a day later to set up a heavyweight clash in New York/New Jersey.

For Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea, the final offers a shot at becoming the first English club to win the tournament twice, having claimed the title in 2021 with a win over Palmeiras. But the history cuts both ways. Defeat would make them the first team to lose two Club World Cup finals, after falling short against Corinthians in 2012.

PSG, meanwhile, are breaking new ground. This is their debut at the competition, and victory would not only secure their first world title but also cap a record-breaking season in which they have won every trophy they have contested (four so far).

Wednesday’s win marked their 48th of the campaign, already surpassing the previous club best set under Laurent Blanc in 2015–16.

Sunday’s final is more than a meeting of European giants fighting for a trophy on American soil. With both clubs having already reportedly accumulated over $100 million in prize money from the competition, the winner of the final is guaranteed a minimum of another $10 million, a significant fee in an era of growing concerns of big wage bills and financial restrictions for Europe's top clubs.
